A hiding place no more
was my pool of shadows.
Where in darkness,
I had no desire to call
Yet, Your light shined on
and mercy would not fall!
Drenched in filth n' muck
was I from head to toe.
Still I did not look for You,
I just preferred not to be seen
Yet, Your light shined on
blood had washed me clean
Your light shines on,
Freely, I step from the shadows
and say “Here I am”
